"A-X-E-S" is a virtual installation for sound which VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is used for. Some users can access the virtual three-dimensional world "A-X-E-S" at the same time using the VRML server machine that exists on Internet. Most of the present multi-user VRML worlds were being built as a communication tool in the shared virtual three-dimensional world. Some of the present VRML work tried to describe the virtual three-dimensional world in detail. However, we never intend to create shared virtual environment or detailed world which it can compare with real world. We want to describe the possibility of the information environments that the virtual world unites with real world.
In this art work, our theme is "A battle with the information system in the information environment." Based on this theme, we crated the virtual installation for sound named "A-X-E-S," and tried to describe the possibility of the sense of hearing.
