Q. Is it possible to apply earlier than the specified application date?
A: The application starts on January 15, 2003 only. Please apply from this date. We however, recommend you to apply as early as possible from this date,because it usually reaches the maximum number of participants in a short period. |
Q: Is it necessary to bring a computer?
A: We highly recommend you to bring one yourself, such as Powerbook or iBook. The computer should be Macintosh PowerPC, G3 or G4, and Max/MSP/Jitter should be previously installed. However, it is possible to participate without any computer. |
Q: Is it possible to participate this workshop, although I haven't bought Max/MSP/Jitter?
A: If you bring your computer, please install this in your hard disk. You can download Max/MSP/Jitter from the web site of Cycling'74. You can use this as a trial version without any payment. It however, lasts only for 30 days. |
Q: Does Max/MSP/Jitter have to be the latest version?
A: The lecture is usually based upon the latest version of Max/MSP/Jitter. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your Max/MSP/Jitter. |
Q: I don't have much experience in Max/MSP/Jitter. Will it be OK to participate this?
A: We recommend that you have some previous knowledge in Max/MSP/Jitter. You can also download a manual of Max/MSP/Jitter from the web site of Cycling'74 in order to get some ideas. |
Q: What should I bring besides Max/MSP/Jitter and a computer?
A: During the workshop, you may be asked to use a headphone (with a mini-plug), and an audio CD. The CD can be any sorts of music. If possible, we recommend you to bring an extension cable of electric power and a cable of Ethernet (or AirMac card). |
Q: I am worrying about a room to stay...?
A: We will announce information about hotels in out web site soon. Please check information there, but we cannot reserve a room for you. |
Q: I can't participate the whole schedule. Is it possible to participate only the days I can?
A: Yes, you can, but we don't have a system of daily tuition. We are not able to refund the lectures that you are absent. |
